Encouraging news! Praying hard for God’s hand to provide His piece in the midst of a difficult storm. Truely, brother Davis is 5 star servant of the most High and we very much miss his faithfulness, dedication and ministry.
Hey Bro. Davis – we just wanted to let you know that we pray for you all through the day when the Lord brings you to mind and we are praying for your family too. So thrilled to see God work and answer the prayers of many who are praying for you and your family.

We continue to pray for you and Ellen and the family. We just returned from a week in Florida but Dave was always on our mind. We were thankful to receive daily updates from Linda Schwartz and it was a blessing to see God working. Please be assured Dave that we never doubted for a minute who is in control !!!! We miss you and can’t wait until you are back teaching and leading the singing!!!

My wife and I are certainly encouraged regarding reported improvements in your condition by the updates posted here lately. There is a theme in the daily posts that are uplifting to the reader. On 3/22, the post ends with “God is good.” On 3/23, the poster writes about “good small steps” in regards to the level of your improvement. Then on 3/25, we read that Bro Dave is in “good spirits.” And today we are told that you had a “stable day.” People ask me all the time how I can stay positive confined to a wheelchair and dependent on others to help with the most basic needs in my life. My answer never changes. God is good. We know your life exemplifies this simple truth also. Thanks for just being YOU. Looking forward to seeing you in God’s perfect will with a lot more of those stable days. Isn’t it great to be irreversibly forgiven? Love ya, Bro Dave.

Nancy & I are praising the Lord for the good news of late last week. We have been praying for you 5, 6, 7 times a day, pleading that the Lord will heal you quickly! We were on vacation last week skiing in Zermatt Switzerland where the Matterhorn is. On Friday, Nancy & I were skiing without our group of employees and friends, just the two of us. We had worked our way to the base of the Matterhorn for the first time that week. It is one of those awesome sights that only our Lord could make. We skied off of the trail where there is a bench for summer hikers. We looked at each other and said we have to pray for Dave right here right now at the foot of this awesome creation! Then to get the email from Pastor Joyner the next day saying that you were awake and doing better brought tears of joy along with praises to the Lord. Dear Dave, I need to tell you a funny story about my great neice. She just turned 4. My sister who is 52 and her husband are raising their 3 grandchildren. I Offer to take Colleen for a day every few weeks to give my sister a break since the other 2 are in school all day. Yesterday I picked her up around 9:30 and we did many errands and didn’t get home to get lunch until after 12:30 and poor Collen was starved. So I put the mac & cheese in front of her and she started to eat before I could say grace. (My sister is not saved so they are not used to saying grace before a meal). So I said to her ,”Colleen, we need to thank the Lord for the food before we eat.” So she loudly yelled “THANK YOU” and continued to eat. Shortly after that when I read the update I too wanted to shout ” THANK YOU LORD!!!”. I am truly thankful that the Lord chose to answer our prayers and heal you!!! My team of docs were thoroughly examining this for me after complications from removing a spinal tumor (almost 10 yrs ago) but God pulled me through just prior. They fly in people from all parts of the country! You’ll be in the best hands from God and docs!

We continue to praise the Lord and marvel at His great goodness. A couple of verses that testify of what God has done is found in Luke 7:14b-16a: “And He said, Young man, I say unto thee, Arise. And he that was dead sat up, and began to speak. And…they glorified God.” God has performed this miracle, too, through your life (young man!), all to His glory.
We love you, and continue to pray for you. You would have been so proud of Ellen on Sunday!

From the first day I heard about your situation, God has put you on my heart to pray for a miracle and a complete healing. I have not felt this type of prompting by God in a long time, and to hear all the good news and to see your miracle is really going to be a powerful testimoney. It sounds like the worst is behind you and than kind of news couldn’t be better. We are glad that you are doing so well & we are even happier that you are one of God’s children and we know God is looking after you and your family.
I’ve had my own share of health problems and I know how much of a toll they take on you and your family. We will continue to pray that God will heal & restore you. Don’t let all of this get you down. There is a purpose for all of this. It may not be until the next life until all of this becomes clear, but faith is just that – faith that God has your best interest in mind.
It is encouraging to hear that your kidneys are functioning. You never thought that you’d be glad that you could pee!!!

It was so good and encouraging to hear your voice at church and to listen to Ellen’s testimony of how the Lord worked in your darkest hour. Choir’s been faithful; the Easter music has been a joy to sing! We’ll be praying for continued strength and progress with the dialysis.
